The cooking time and water volume guidelines are just that - adjust them to your personal preferences. Ensure there is enough water, as a lack of moisture can lead to dry or scorched rice. If in a hurry, use warm water to adjust the cooking time.

Please note that white rice may slightly overflow during cooking. The listed heating times are for a standard 500W microwave oven; adjust by 10-20% when using 400-600W microwaves, as the cooking time may vary depending on the manufacturer and model.
